R01 3403O - Our Lady of Advent

God descends into history, into the garden he had prepared for man, and seeks him. The heart trembles at the voice of this question of God. His voice is a voice of silence, like a breath. But it is also a voice that shakes the oaks and shakes the depths. God comes to meet us, he makes himself neighbour. God wants to enter the world that is his, but he wants to do it through man: this is the mystery of our existence. Let «God enter». But one can only let it enter the place where one lives an authentic existence. This is man’s answer. There was a woman who let God enter her place of life: Mary of Nazareth. The Virgin of waiting is depicted here on her knees while she prays. His attitude wants to show the simple, humble and full welcome of the Word.
