"O glorious Cross of the risen Lord, O Tree of eternal life, pillar of the universe, soul of the earth, your top touches heaven and in your open arms shines the love of God". (cf.Hymn to the Glorious Cross, anonymous author). The glorious cross, emanates a most vivid light that gives joy, peace, comfort and projects towards eternity. It illuminates our darkness: it is like a star where the love of God shines.
