By sacred vessels, according to the General Instruction of the Roman Missal (GIRM) no.327, we mean especially the Chalice and Paten or Ciborium in which the bread and wine are offered, consecrated and consumed.

Among the sacred vessels we also consider the Cruets for water and wine and the vessels for the Holy Oils.
