Immersed in a baptism of light, they themselves became "children of light" (Eph 5:8. Christians shine before men, revealing to the world the merciful face of the Heavenly Father. Moreover, in Christ, the "true light that illumines every man" (Jn 1:9) the peoples of all times and of all nations can abandon darkness by walking towards the heavenly Jerusalem (Rev 2:3).
